Fast-growing, Denver-based startup looking for a Developer Experience Manager (DX) to be part of a small team that builds and maintains a platform that revolutionizes payment facilitation. They will focus on mission-critical applications and integrations that are the engine of their business. Their systems deal with large amounts of structured data and high volumes of transactional data that ensure their customers can board and manage merchants and the customer payments that they process.

The Developer Experience Manager (DX) is a hands-on positions that will allow you to help shape a piece of business that is shaping an entire industry. It is an amazing opportunity with a growing tech company that’s expanding.


  • Play an integral role in creating the public facing API experience of our SaaS platform
  • Work in an entirely .NET stack with a mixture of ASP MVC 5/Core 3 and React JS as the front-end
  • Collaborate to build highly scalable, distributed systems (transaction processing, data import/mapping, and API integrations) that form the back-end of Multi-tenant SaaS products
  • Evaluate what it’s like to be a developer integrating to our platform and collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering to plan for how to create the most desirable platform that developers want to work with.
  • Run point on things like API documentation, endpoint rationalization, and a developer sandbox with working code snippets and scenarios to expedite Q&A and drive successful integration


  • 5+ years real world experience building and/or integrating with APIs
  • Technical thinker who is comfortable delivering work on your own and/or in a collaboration with others like Engineering team
  • Desire to design the best solution to solve a business problem in a way that is repeatable and reusable, looking for ways to make developer experience satisfying, efficient, reliable, and self-service
  • Belief in the power of small teams and the collaborative process where requirements, design, development, QA, and deployment are everyone’s responsibility
  • Proficiency with one or more developer portals – either off the shelf products of home grown (having built or used)
  • Experience building out documentation standards for public facing APIs and can articulate what makes up good API documentation
  • Comfort working in a cloud-based (Azure) environment
  • Appreciation of the flexibility required by an early-stage company and the prospect of aggressive shop dates
  • Ability to test software, both in the coding stage (unit tests/TDD) and the functional state (end-to-end and UI testing)
  • Willingness to learn a complex domain ecosystem (payments)
  • Confidence assisting and/or leading engineering through API modification to create a better developer experience
  • Willingness to make big decisions that will change the shape of the company’s software
  • Ability to brainstorm with peers, product owners, and clients to identify the best approach to  a design and build
  • Strong technical communicator
