Title: VP Sales

Location: Remote – US


The Vice President of Sales primary responsibility is to establish new relationships and promote the company’s value proposition to targeted prospects in their respective territories with the objective of securing “win-win” contractual relationships.

The VP Sales divides his/her time as follows: 90% – prospecting, promoting, and closing new business; 10% – administrative responsibilities


  • Prospect new business opportunities, negotiate contracts and close new business
  • Procure, schedule and conduct compelling sales calls (remote and onsite)
  • Build and maintain pipeline of new business at established standards
  • Work collaboratively with other internal departments to achieve desired results
  • Maintain accurate CRM system hygiene, including updating activities and account stats
  • Establish productive, face-to-face relationships
  • Leverage existing contacts within work force management, human capital management (HCM) and Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) and payroll verticals
  • Meet or exceed new business sales quote in assigned territory


  • 5+ years successful “above quota” technology sales (SaaS and Professional Services) experience
    • ‘President’s Club’ or equivalent desired
    • Fintech experience a plus, but not required
  • Demonstrated success and experience with:
    • Creating and building trusting relationships with C-level executives
    • Discovering buyer motivations and implementing “best action” account plans
    • Segmenting, targeting, and actively penetrating new prospects
    • Networking with, establishing, and leveraging new and existing strategic alliance partner relationships
    • Delivering strategic, creative, and compelling presentations
    • Hunting new opportunities and closing new revenue generating contracts
  • Proven individual traits and abilities that include:

    • Individual independence, self-motivation, and strong work ethic
    • Compelling presentation, negotiation, and empathic listening skills
